A repeat client in Maple Glen, satisfied with a previous project from Post Remodeling & Handyman Services, was interested in remodeling a powder room in their home. The homeowners ordered all the materials they thought were needed and asked Post Remodeling to review the cabinet dimensions. The room itself was small and the layout was not changing.
The vanity ordered by the homeowner from Home Depot was damaged in transit. After a month, the replacement arrived. After arriving to begin the project, Post Remodeling found the following:
- Vanity was missing the “toe kick”.
- New medicine cabinet had a chipped mirror door.
- Vanity top was sized incorrectly and not usable.
- No padding ordered for cork floor.
- No new receptacles or switches provided.
Post Remodeling was able to correct each of the problematic areas. Post provided or fabricated all missing components.
In addition to the extra work required to correct the situation, some prior professional planning and product selection would have yielded a roomier, more functional powder room.
In many cases, Post Remodeling is involved with the overall planning and materials specifications. From previous experience, bathroom and kitchen remodeling projects are notorious for having an incredibly small margin for error and, as a result, require detailed planning in advance.
